OK...lets start with the good. It arrived sharp, very sharp. The grip is comfortable. That's it. Now for the bad. It has a hollow grind. I hate hollow grinds on a machete. They always roll. Pic made it look convex or at least flat. Now for the worst. The blade is bent. I mean BENT...with a twist. So holding it straight out, looking down the spine, the last 4 inches of the blade turns left & has a counter clockwise twist too. I'm not sending it back because I want to run some tests on it & maybe post a youtube video later. I tested it on some small wood & kindling & it performed well considering the bend. I obviously had to be careful. I will put it in a vice & try to straighten it without heat. I'm afraid it will break. But if the heat treat is good it shouldn't. If I'm successful, I'll update this review. One more note to the seller. You do NOT have to hammer in a bunch of marks to make the steel look hammered. It just made it look like a bunch of pimples on a pretty girls a.
