Holiday gift for my wife who had been using an old Odyssey putter- the head fell off. I offered to repair the Odyssey but it was a beat up club. Time for a new flat stick. We looked at 10 different brands at a pro shop and my wife got fit as well and we knew the shaft length for her putting style.On initial inspection, this Bell model has top rate build quality, subtle good looks, nicely machined head, soft zipper head cover, plumber neck head, Winn putter grip with a straight shaft. The putter face is nicely machined as well - see the photos.Originally, the putter did not have the plumbers neck, it came with a curved putter shaft. I got a message from Bell that they had changed to the head with a plumber neck which was fine with me because shaft changes down the road are far easier with a straight shaft.The balance and weight suit my wife already and the overall appearance of the club is top notch. You can spend a LOT of money on a putter. I’ve seen the high end brand name putters and used them in person and it feels like the extra $400+ for some of those clubs is simple profit for the club maker.We won’t know how well this putter really works because it’s winter like weather already, but so far, putting on my carpet has been successful.Putters are unique clubs. It’s a combination of factors that contribute to success. Feel, look, balance, grip, shaft length. Will this putter work better than the other five putters in “time out” in my basement?I’ll let you know - hope that helps!
