This is a good letter opener made of metal for the blade and hard plastic for the handle. The color is accurate for the description with the black handle trying to ressemble fake wood.The thing I like about it is that it's NOT a knife. It's more of a dull blade with tiny "teeth" in it that can slice through paper but won't slice through skin (I tested it on my arm so you don't have to, zero damage). So, these are very child-proof to have around your desk. Even the tip is rounded up.It functions very well however for the task needed and represents a great value. Great to open up Amazon boxes, letters and enveloppes.
