Purchased these blades in April of 2017. I live just south of Tampa and have very thick St. Augustine grass (about 2/3 of an acres) that I need to cut every week most of the year. I switch out these blades with the stock Troy-Bilt Pony 42 inch blades. I sharpen the blades not in use to save time. Not only do these blades last longer (wear wise), but they stay sharp longer. I'm guessing its because of better metal? But it could just be the thicker heaver blades. The down side is two fold. 1) The blades are heaver and take more to get them going from a stop. You can just feel the tractor takes a moment more to get them spinning, and 2) The are noisier. The do also really mulch better too. I'm still surprised every time I check the blades for sharpness when I think it's time to re-sharpen and they don't need it al all. This is a big time saver and worth the price of admission.
