This was my first time using reverse/skip tooth. I make a lot of yard art with plywood of course. The ragged edges were a big hassle to sand down. These work great to eliminate most of the splintery edges. I have now switched to the even better product Olson Precision Ground blades. The spiral tooth blade is fun and functional to use so I don't have to worry about turning a huge piece of wood around. Learning curve though. I forget I don't have to turn the wood! Good blades, but the Precision blades are much sharper and I will be using those from now on.UPDATE: I still like the reverse/skip tooth for the plywood,, but I have used the spiral on pine now, for tree ornaments and other indoor décor. I LOVE them! They get into VERY tight spaces and sharp corners so easily. No worries about blades breaking from quick turns. I will be ordering more of the Olson spiral, but next time with the flat ends which are easier to install. (SP 468000) *** A professional scroller told me to try the Flying Dutchman "new spiral" blades (SPNS), that are supposed to be even more easy to control.
